As far as I know and from previous experience, training for the Otter trail entails weeks of hard work and preparation! But not for our fellow Mapper, Berné Krugell 😉

Herewith her Otter trial testimony in her own words: packing. Using it every day helped her conquer the Otter hills and climbs without pain!

Herewith her Otter trail testimony in her own words:
Ek is twee weke voor vriende die Otter wandelpad gaan stap het, gevra of ek nie wil saam stap nie. Die geleentheid kon ek nie laat verby “stap” nie, die Otter is op my avontuurlysie vir ‘n ruk.

Met die inpak is twee oranje balle as ‘n noodsaaklikheid ingepak. Die natuurskoon was elke dag ingeneem en elke aand het ek bietjie uitgerol asook uitgevryf soos ek met die jare by MAP geleer het. Daar was gelag en kopgekrap deur ander oor die uitrollery, maar die stap was vir my ‘n fees sonder enige styfheid! Met MAP en gereelde oefensessies was dit moontlik om op die ingewing van die oomblik net te kon gaan.

Dit het my baie aan MAP se leuse laat dink: “Move whenever you can… Move before you can’t!”
